What makes A.B.C. Alma Mater special

A — Morning Assembly

Morning assembly is a very auspicious occasion. All students assemble at one place. Prayers, thoughts for the day, news, GK, Gayatri mantra and Vedic prayers are followed every day. Special long assemblies are held to observe festivals and national festivals. It is compulsory for all students to attend.

B — The House System

The school provides all opportunities for physical, moral and mental development. 'The House System' has been introduced and all sports and co-curricular activities are organized house-wise. Each house is represented by two prefects. The house system encourages healthy competition and helps in developing leadership quality among students.

C — Physical Fitness, Games and Sports

The school lays great emphasis on physical fitness. Facilities for games, sports and recreational activities are provided. The programme includes rhythmic exercises, yoga, taekwondo, meditation, athletics, sports and games. Participation in games and sports is mandatory unless exempted on medical grounds.

D — Parents Teacher Association (PTA)

Parents-teacher co-operation is essential for continuous and harmonious growth. We believe that 'parents are the first teachers and teachers are the second parents'. Parents meet the teachers periodically to discuss the progress of their wards.

E — Excursions / Outing

Outing is part of education. Students are made aware of the importance of a clean and healthy environment. Excursions and camps promote global fraternity. Tours to places of historical, educational and industrial importance are organized for all age groups.

F — Cultural Activities

Cultural events are organized from time to time. Festivals like Teachers' Day, Independence Day and Republic Day are observed. Textbook lessons are dramatized; children are trained in speech, acting and singing.

H — Library

'Reading maketh a full man.' The school provides an excellent library and reading room, well stocked with books, magazines and newspapers. Students are required to visit the library as part of normal school routine.

I — Science Lab and Project Work

The school has a spacious science laboratory to impart practical knowledge and develop a spirit of inquiry. Students are encouraged to take up projects with the guidance of teachers.

M — Computer with Internet Facility

Computer education is compulsory from Class I onwards. Internet facility is also provided. The school enables students to satisfy their curiosity and draw out the best quality among them.

N — School Faculty

The school has well qualified and experienced teaching staff capable of shouldering every responsibility enthusiastically and dedicating services according to the expectations of the parents.

O — Transport Facility

The school provides transport facility for students. Transport charges are decided upon the prevailing market price of fuel and corresponding hire charges. Feasibility depends on the minimum number of students required to cover the cost.
